Julio uses the three core elements of muscle activation, soft tissue release and corrective exercise in his practice.
He has been involved in sports his entire life at many different levels. After playing football at Stony Brook University, he coached youth football, baseball, basketball and track. During this time, he worked with the athletes on individual training programs. He followed his passion to optimize functional movement by getting his LMT degree at New York College of Health Professions.
He has continued his post-graduate education and is certified in Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT), Muscle Activation Technique (MAT) Jump Start, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Anatomy in Motion (AIM), Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), Neuromuscular Reprogramming (NMR), Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR) and Original Strength (OS). He continues to work with sports teams for practices, games and tournaments as well as providing sideline medical support for AVP pro Beach Volleyball tour.
